About Us

 My love of gardening began as a young girl. Memories of my grandmothers towering Hollyhocks, bright pink Peonies, and her frilly Poppies are just as beautiful now as they were then, growing along side her home and in her massive flower and vegetable gardens. Waking up summer morns and seeing my mother outside digging in the dirt, “weeding” amongst her flowering beds of Petunia, Snapdragons, and Moss-Roses will always be a cherished memory! Since then, I have married and have 6 children. We live in Detroit Lakes where I enjoy my own gardens. I have over 15 years of working experience in the Green Industry. I am also certified by the State of Minnesota as a Landscape and Nursery Professional, (MNLA). My husband and I opened Beautiful Leaf Gardens in the spring of 2003 as a garden center and garden consulting business.
